The Learning Vine came about in January 2015, when a it was seen that there was a huge need for a learning centre for children who don’t fit into the one-size fits all of mainstream education. We started off with 5 children. Today we have over 120.
We decided to use Impaq as a curriculum provider in April 2015 and we can accommodate children from Grade R to Grade 12. We are not an ordinary tutor centre, in fact we pride ourselves on being extraordinary. We focus on educating the whole child and on making learning as fun as possible.
That means we do far more hands-on activities, and our students learn how to get along with all kinds of people because some of us are quite different.
We are currently in the process of registering as an independent school with the WCED.
In 2018 we are introducing the International Baccalaureate’s Primary Years Programme in our primary school section and will embark on the journey to be registered as a Candidate School with the International Baccalaureate. From Grade 7-12 our students will continue to use the Impaq Curriculum.
We believe that every child has a right to an education and we’ll not let learning challenges and
little peculiarities stand in our way.
Our staff are passionate about what they do and are committed to supporting our children
to reach their potential.
